Last of the interior house photos

Well, we moved. It was painful but we are here and completely out of our former residence. There are still tons of boxes to unpack and lots of cleaning to do. My friend Kristina took these pictures the day before we moved in. I decided to post these as a reminder of what our home looks like clean. There are too many pictures to explain but it's all the same stuff.....bath, kitchen, bedrooms, blah, blah, blah.........

Homage to my college days

*note- this was an old partial post I started last week* A few weeks ago Petey and I bought a five pound bag of tater tots. It was really as joke purchase as the bag was so huge and we thought it was funny. We would pretend to be dumping the whole bag of tots in our mouths and laughing like idiots while in the store (oh, don't act like you've never done that yourself!). I was trying to clean out my fridge/ freezer for the move so we had said tater tots with our meal. On a whim I returned to my roots and mixed some bleu cheese and ketchup to dip them in. Remember Kehm? Between chips and salsa, spaghetti sandwiches and these little guys with our specialty dip, we made it through that year of college. Good memories. (ps- I had my own picture with the dip but it's missing from my desktop. I think bobby thought it was unimportant. Silly man! Tater tots are most important!)

Rub a Dub Dub....

It's Allie in the tub. She calls it taking "a tub". She likes taking a bath, but hates being washed. She loves to splash and play and I just have to hope that some of the water is doing some good and cleaning her. I washed her hair last night and she was so mad at me. I believe her statement to me was "NO, NO WASHING MY HAIR! NEVER!!!" Here is Allie in some happier tub moments.

Here she is not certain that she wants to be photographed.

Mattie wanted in on the fun.

Uhhhhh....

No, it's not an optical illusion. Our newel posts are different heights and one sticks out farther than the other one. One might think that our carpenter was drunk when this occurred but that was not the case. He actually was trying to comply with code for the stairs leading down but had not consulted with us about the adjustment. It has been corrected but was quite disconcerting when I saw it. This happened one day after we found out that the dimensions of our cooktop were misrepresented by the distributor. We had more than three extra inches of depth and our cooktop was sticking out of our custom cabinets (made specifically to house this cooktop) looking like a woman nine months pregnant trying to fit into her skinny jeans. Ugh, where's my chocolate?
